Wine and Cheese Tasting events
A fun and informal way to broaden your wine and cheese horizons.
A great way to spend time with family and friends at your home or cottage.
Lonnie will walk each guest through a combination of artisan cheeses and charcuterie paired with wine and beer from Canada and around the world.
We provide information on recommended wine, beer and even whiskey, based on your preferences.
We bring all cheeses, charcuterie, crackers, olives and pickles, plates, napkins, knives and tasting glasses.
You provide the drinks for pairing.
Taste of the North Mini
$30 per person Groups of 6 to 17 / Groups of 18+ ($20)
Includes:
- Four Artisanal Cheeses
- Assorted Charcuterie Nuts
- Olives & Cornichon
- Fig Compote
- Fresh & Dried Fruit
- Chocolate
- Crostini & Crackers
- 4 Tasting Glasses, Notes
We provide instruction on the origin of the 4 cheeses, what to look for in artisanal cheese and why they work so well with the chosen wines, cider and or beer.
Recommended wines to have available:
- Off-dry Riesling or a pear or dry apple cider
- Sauvignon Blanc or Alberino
- Pinot Noir or Gamay
- Cabernet Sauvignon, Monastrell or Shiraz
- Whiskey and beer tasting can be an option please ask for details
Taste of the North Full
$45 per person Groups of 6 to 18 / Groups of 18+ $35
Includes:
- Seven varieties of Canadian and International Artisanal Cheeses
- Assorted Charcuterie
- Nuts, Olives and Cornichon
- Dark Organic chocolate
- Compotes for cheese and dried fruit
- Crostini & Crackers
- All tasting glasses
We provide instruction on the origin of the 7 cheeses, what to look for in artisanal cheese and why they work so well with the chosen wines, cider and or beer.
What the host needs to provide: A table that can accommodate all guests with a glass of water for each person as well as the following recommended wines and beers:

- Sparkling or Champagne, Prosecco
- Off Dry Riesling or Gewürztraminer Other- Dry Pear Cider
- Alberino or Grüner Veltliner or Sauvignon Blanc Beer – Wheat Beer
- Gamay or Pinot Noir
- Mourvèdre, Monastrell or Malbec
- Cabernet Sauvignon or Brunello or Bordeaux Blend
- Port or Ice Wine or Craft beer stout or brown ale
